Dreams #AtoZChallenge

Source
Could I forever live in my dreams?
Thus slipping into a lifelong sleep.
Always filled with endless possibilities,
To which the mind is ready to leap.

Nights evident of calm and peace,
With open emotions and limitless hope.
Should reality seep in or maybe cease?
Let my imagination run wild and not just lope.

Dreams where virtuality comes to being,
And apprehensions take shape.
Dreams where love isn’t fleeing,
And the eyes don’t just gape.

My mind strives hard to weave,
Stories of then and now.
Forcing unpleasant thoughts to leave,
Tying all relations in a vow.

Life is incomplete without them,
To no one and everyone they belong.
Like a bud from a stem,
They blossom into a colorful song.

  5. Sometimes, I too wish that I could live in my dreams forever. It feels fantastic, what with those endless possibilities. But then I get a reality check! But life sure is incomplete without dreams.

    Double Jeopardy

    1. You said it, Swathi. :) Reality check is what stops us from dreaming and gets us back into the actual life.

  12. I love dreaming, partly because I love sleeping too. But even otherwise I always try to interpret my dreams and sometimes I think they may be an omen about things to come. Nice poem :)
